Web 2.0 Logo Design

Learn how to design a logo with a Web 2.0 look and feel.
1. Start by clicking File > New and set your palette to 200 pixels by 200 pixels with a white background selected for this tutorial.
2. Now select a Web 2.0 color you want to use. Our example uses the Qoop Mint #CDEB8B for the logo design.
3. Click on the "Horizontal Type Tool"
and set your anti-aliasing to smooth and your text to 175 pt. We used the "Dingsbums Bats" font which you can grab from www.dafont.com and this set has a few good designs for logo creation.
4. Grab your "Move Tool"
and center the logo as needed.

5. Click on Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options to add your effects.
6. Web 2.0 uses "Gradient Overlays" so we set ours like the image below.

7. To smooth the edges - Add a "Stroke" like the image below.

8. Because a Stroke doesn't work on a white background we added a "Drop Shadow" like the image below.

9. Your final image should look like the one below.
